How it compares

Their price is per seat. The real cost is the hours.

Safety forms in one app, time and tickets in another, work orders in a third, gear in a fourth. Each one does its job. The hours go in the gaps between them: the foreman’s evenings, the office chasing signatures, the LEM typed into an invoice, the bank that doesn’t add up because a client hasn’t paid.

We took what works in the tools contractors already pay for, and what contractors working these sites told us, and built it around how big owners actually run maintenance: FLRA to LEM to client signature to invoice to paid, as one line, so nobody re-keys or chases between tools.

For a small crew

Per-seat can cost less. Here’s what we add.

For a dozen people, with only a few of them signing in, a per-seat safety or timesheet app can cost less in dollars than our setup and monthly. If forms on a phone are all you need, one of those may be the better buy.

  • The line from the field to paid

The FLRA drafts the LEM, your client signs it on site or by link, the signed LEM becomes the invoice on that client’s rates, and your office follows it through the owner’s stages to paid.

  • Setup done for you

Your forms, your rates and your clients’ rules, built in and running, and your foremen trained on their own phones.

  • Priced by company size

One price for 1 to 25 people who sign in, and crews who sign on through the foreman’s phone don’t count. The small-shop total.

Value it in time

Minutes matter. Get your evenings back.

You get one life, and half of it is spent at work. The paperwork shouldn’t take the other half. Start with your own week: every number below is yours to change.

Lean = the lowest published paid tier that plausibly covers the category; fuller = the tier with procedures, time and cost tracking and safety forms. Every paid login counts as a seat. Converted at the Bank of Canada rate of 1.3994 for Nov 3, 2026 (source). Three vendors in these stacks show “$” without a currency; they’re treated as USD. Excludes implementation, training, hardware, taxes and add-ons. Ranges, not quotes.

The published feature lists we checked for these per-user stacks don’t mention client LEM sign-off on site, an invoice drafted from the signed LEM, a client portal or test-gear calibration, and none of the pricing pages checked states Canadian data hosting. Some quote-only field ticket tools, such as Aimsio and OpenInvoice, do handle ticket approval. Any of these tools may do more than its page says, so ask.

What contractors run into

In their words, from the reviews.

Paraphrased from public reviews and one contractors’ finance forum, with the sources. Short quotes are exact.

  • Per-user pricing grows with the crew

Most tools charge for every login, so each new hire adds a line to several bills at once. Reviewers call the extra per-user cost hard to justify, and say the top tiers are out of budget for smaller teams.

  • The features you need sit in the higher tier

Entry prices look low, but offline use, procedures, signatures, custom forms or time and cost tracking are often only in the next plan up or in a quote-only plan.

  • Generic forms: you build every form yourself

Safety apps ship a form builder, not your owner's FLRA or permit format. Users say they have to build each form themselves, that templates feel rigid, or that only the vendor can change a form.

  • Long, costly setup and a learning curve for foremen

Heavier field systems take real money and time up front, and foremen need training before data is clean. Some vendors charge separately for implementation.

  • Sync and offline problems in poor-signal areas

Reviewers report slow syncing, devices not syncing with the office, and apps that force an update before they can be used on shared tablets. Some vendors only include full offline use in upper tiers.

  • Field tickets get rejected or have no client sign-off step

Time and safety apps capture worker signatures, not the owner rep's sign-off on the LEM. Tickets are then rejected for missing details, wrong rates, wrong approver or missing backup, which delays the invoice. (The rejection list comes from a field-ticket vendor's blog, so treat it as a vendor view.)

  • Opaque, quote-only pricing and renewal pressure

Many of the tools contractors in this space use most don't publish prices. In a contractors' finance forum, members describe renewals tied to contract volume, requests for WIP and financial statements, and being pushed to higher tiers.

  • Support and integrations are uneven

Support is often praised, but reviewers flag weak help with integrations, messy database integrations, and slow responses on feature requests.

Where we’re different

One connected system, priced by company size.

  • The steps are connected

The FLRA writes the LEM, the client signs it on site or by link, the signed LEM becomes the invoice, and the invoice is followed to paid.

  • Built for how owners run maintenance

Owner work order numbers, POs, service entry sheets and supplier portals, written into the forms.

  • Not per seat

Priced by company size. Crews who sign on through the foreman’s phone, and your clients’ reps, don’t count.

We don’t claim to be the cheapest line on the bill. Our prices are on the page, so you can do the sum yourself, in dollars and in hours.

Published list prices as checked on Nov 3, 2026, before taxes, discounts and implementation fees. Prices change often; each row links to the page it came from. USD where the vendor lists in USD; where a page shows “$” without a currency, it says so. Illustrative only: a quote from any vendor may differ. Vendor names are their owners’ trademarks; Scoreline Partners isn’t affiliated with any of them.
